We headed back out to the North range to gather up the cows and go further on our journey.
For some unknown reason these cows that were exhausted, sore footed and unwilling to move, decided they could climb way up into the hills. The word nincompoops popped into my head again.
Clay and I started up high and kicked them down. The others kicked them up and across until we came together.
Now what is that cow doing way up there?
We had some extra help today which was nice.
We rode across some rough terrain. To add to the already rough travel, there had been a big flood this past summer that washed a lot of debris and mud down from the mountain.
We had a nice lunch break, everyone seemed to be in good humor.
We made it to the end of this leg of our journey. The cows were put in a fenced area and hay had been put out for them. They should get a good nights rest before we continue the rest of the way.
I think the dogs were ready for a rest too.
We'll finish up tomorrow.
