It's November fourth and we got our first snow of the season. I have to admit I wasn't thrilled about the idea of going out in it to move cows. I dug out my warm winter riding clothes and went anyway.
The road out was a little icy and the temperature never got above freezing. None of which is out of the norm for our winter riding. But it has been unusually warm here up until now and we aren't acclimated for the weather change, or at least I'm not.
But Clay likes the snow and has been waiting all summer for it.
The further East we went the less snow there was, but Clay was still like a kid at Christmas in this cold weather.
I enjoyed the views and took some pictures while trying to guide the cows in the right direction. They weren't being overly cooperative.
Proof I was there. It was a great winter morning.
