To keep our cows happy and healthy we supplement them with salt and mineral. So my mission today was to deliver blocks of salt and bags of mineral to the cows.
I loaded some salt and mineral in my truck and headed for my first two herds of cows. They seemed happy to see me deliver the goods.
I needed a little help finding the gate and water of the next herd so Dave drew me a map.
It was a great drawing..

The mineral tubs we use are made out of a tire and a board. When I got to the next herd of cows and located the tub, it had a problem. So I had to see what I could do to repair or replace it.
I went to the junk yard. NO I mean EQUIPMENT yard. Don't call it a junk yard. "It isn't junk, it might be useful some day." So I've been told.
My helper Cash liked exploring while I looked for materials to fix or replace the tub. Then he needed a nap.

I reloaded and headed for more cows. I did this several times until the cows and the bulls in the area nearest the ranch were taken care of.
I met up with Dave and we decided to top off the day with an evening picnic to watch the moon rise over the mountains.
Cheers!!
