Heifers

The heifers needed to come home today from he Roland Ranch.  It was hot and dusty and they were slow. 

But with good dogs and good cowboys, the job got done.  This is Clay on Banjo and Randy and Kyle in the background. 

They look fat and healthy.  Hopefully they are all bred.  We will preg-check them all on Tuesday.  

Later, I got to ride my trusty old horse Jewell.  She has been hurt and lame for several months.  I was very happy to get back in the saddle and she seemed happy to get out of the corral.
