I have a large and very productive apple tree in my front yard.  Today I am making apple pie.. yum!
First, pick and wash a bunch of apples, Next peel a bunch of apples.
For Filling
1 Cup Sugar            Add this mixture to the apples and make sure they all get well coated.
1/2 tsp salt
1  1/2 Tbs Flour
1 tsp cinnamon

apple sauce
Pie Crust
1 Cup Flour
1/3 Cup Vegetable oil
3 Tbs cold milk
dash of salt
mix well and form into a ball.  Roll out in between two pieces of waxed paper.
(this is a never fail quick pie crust passed down from my great grandma Lu)
Streusel topping
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup flour
1 stick cold butter
combine all these ingredients together in bowl.  It should resemble course crumbs.
Sprinkle over pie and bake in 350 degree oven for about an hour until the topping is golden brown.

Looks like you've become quite a "farmer" and cook. Just a little tweaking on Grandma Lou's apple pie you can try and it may be even better. Try 1 1/4 to 1 1/3 cup of flour, almost to the crumbly stage but it still holds together. Also splash a little lemon juice and mix in with the apples and dab some butter on the bottom crust before pouring the apples in. I'm buried in apples right now too. Try to spend some time each night freezing, or apple butter or apple sauce. Made mom an apple coffee cake for her birthday today. Oh yeah, a little nutmeg is good in the apples too. Gotta keep grandma's cooking alive!
