We must like the cold weather, or NOT.  It seems like when the temperature drops we head out to the range.  But along with the cold comes beautiful scenery.

We counted the cows out of the fields and headed to the range.

It was COLD. There was a cold wind out of the North.  I was lucky enough to leave the cowboys to the riding and I headed home to make them something warm for lunch and shuttle their truck.
Picture
I caught up with them as they were reaching the hills.
Picture
Hannah bundled up. She was doing fine, but I am sure she was wishing the wind would stop.
Picture
The dogs didn't seem to mind the wind.
Picture
Clay on Maggie, she is only two.
Picture
After a warm lunch they were off again, they still had quite a journey ahead. Up and over the hills and on to the range on the other side.
Picture
Dave and I took the trucks around so they would have a ride at the end.

Here they come.  Oh I bet the truck was a site for sore eyes.  No wimps around here.
Picture
The cows were happy to see the water too.
Picture
Today we went out to the Gonder Range.  It was a whopping 8 degrees.  But the wind wasn't blowing, so it actually felt better than the other day.

We were bundled up.

I am so glad you are still looking at my blog. I know the posts are less frequent, that is because I don't go out with the cowboys as much. But I will keep posting when I do. Thanks again for taking a look.

Have been worrying about you all, do not know how you do it! I keep trying to think of warm things for you all to wear, not much luck as I guess you pretty well have your ideas as to how to stay warm. Good luck, and yes the pics are gorgeous, will always love that country back there, so glad you are there,

We are pretty good at dressing warmly. Especially me. I hate to be cold. My mom must have taught me well on how to layer. ;)

Hi, I was looking into Great Basin National Park and the directions said it was at Baker Nevada. Then I remembered you! We are excited about coming up to see this park and caves. But was told not to go now because of the cold. I see on your pics the low temps and hmmm I think I'll wait until spring! Know cold living in Big Bear and having to deal with our horses and farm animals. But wanted to pull up your site to see all the pics. Stay warm my friend.

Yes it was pretty cold last week, this week not so bad, although that dang wind keeps blowing. Our temperatures vary greatly. Summer is the best time to see the park and take advantage of the great hikes to the mountain lakes or wheeler peak.
Thank you for looking at my blog. I am glad you enjoyed checking out our way of life here.

No, actually, thank you. I really enjoy your blog and your pictures.

If you ever need help, just give us a shout out. My husband is excellent with horses and I, well can do just about everything else. We would love to help.

Great work Tana. The pictures do make it look cold. We did have 27 below actual temp the other night but its 30 degrees 3 days later.
