We have more than cattle work on the ranch.  There is also a lot of farming that goes on.
This time of year the farmers are busy getting corn done.
The corn is chopped with a chopper, then spit into a big truck.  Then it is driven to a bagger where it is dumped  and sealed into big white bags.

Today they were chopping the entire stalk.  This will make corn silage.  Sometimes they chop just the ears to make earlage.

Several deer ran out of the corn when the chopper got near them.  I was too slow to get a very good picture of them.
The corn silage or earlage is used to feed the calves in the feedlot.
There is a lot going on on the farming side of things.  The farmers are trying to get crops in before the snow falls.
They didn't need need me to drive a truck today. They weren't quite that desperate.
