October was a crazy busy month.  We preg checked and vaccinated over 1800 cows.  In between the days of checking them we moved cows onto desert range and into the fields.  Before each herd was checked they had to be corralled and looked through to sort out anything that was not up to the trip to the desert.

I am sure the vet has a very tired arm and is glad to be done for another year.
I think we are all glad this job is done until next year.  We can move on to the next big job of vaccinating all the calves in the feed lot and situating and moving all the cows onto the desert.  We actually ride and move cows more often in the winter than in the summer.  The weather does not always cooperate.  I am not too sure how ready I am for the big chill.

Loved your joke about Johns arm, but bet you are right! Loved the pics, looks like lots of feed, bet the cows were happy. You did a great job and am sure you are all glad to be done with this job, very hard work and long hours but you are out in nature and fresh air so that helps, am sure the cold will be tough though!
