Today Dave and I had the task of trucking cows from the Clay Place back to the Baker Ranch.  I asked Dave, "why is it called the Clay Place"?  He said, "because it was named after Judge Clay".  Well Of course,  I should have known that.. haha. I guess he must have been one of the first to settle the place.

This is my rig for the day.  Actually pretty much any day I have to drive.. I am obviously still at the bottom of the totem pole.. haha.  Just kidding.. The breaks work pretty well, the windows roll most of the way up, and it has a heater.  Who's complaining?
The cows were excited to see their ride arrive.
We had to put the cows into a corral, Of course I had to take pictures. I get easily distracted and you may wonder if I actually do any work?  Well, I try to.
Actually Lucy did a lot of this part of the job.  Then we headed them for the truck.  Looks smooth right?  Well we may have lost them once or twice..
It took two trips,so the the first trip back to Baker I had the privilege of riding in this fine rig.  It's a 1978 Kenworth. Runs like a charm..  WHAT??  Oh yeah ,it's loud.
We repeated the steps again and took another load.
