It's spring and time to think about gardening.  The only problem is, I know nothing about gardening or plants.  So I visited Mark Rogers today. He has a great garden and so many plants.  He shared some with me and tried to educate me on names and how to care for them.   Above are tulips,, I got that one.

He has several fenced garden plots around his place.  He has deer and rabbits that like to come right in and eat whatever they can.
I am not sure I can ever get this organized.

These are all different kinds of irises.  He raises so many and knows about all of them.  He was a judge of irises at one point he told me..

He dug up some flowers and plants for me to take home.  This was a ground cover plant.  But of course I can't remember what he called it.

He had such a variety of plants and dug several up for me to take home.

I took them home and planted.  We will see if they grow.  It was fun seeing his garden and hearing about the different plants.  I won't remember them anytime soon.  But I hope they survive.
More pictures of my gardening ventures to come.

Those white tulips are gorgeous, love those but all are so pretty! I have lots of flowers here but they come up on thier own, best kind to have so good luck! Keeping dogs out of flowers will be your challenge I think! Problem here too! Weather looks good there, wish I could come help you buid some good deer fencses since I am so good at that!?! Love the pics, please tell him he has a nice garden and not much grass so guess he will not have to move?
