You may have noticed I have been out of touch for a while.  We were on a trip to Colorado.  Dave had meetings and we got to spend some time with our boys, Ryan and Jack.  Jack is Ryan's friend who stayed at our house a lot as a kid and even lived with us for a time.  So he is considered one of our sons.
Anyway, they both work on the oil rigs in Colorado.  We got to see a little of where they work (from a distance). It looked like really hard and dangerous work.

The weather gets really cold at times and they are in it for at least 12 hours a day or at night, and
talk about "Dirty Jobs". It takes a lot of skill, strength and concentration to do the job properly and safely.

As a mother of these roughnecks I wasn't too thrilled there was flame coming out of my son's rig that night.  He explained to me why.. yeesh,, maybe he shouldn't have. It has to do with gas coming out of the ground etc.. so scary
The rigs are all lit up at night. They run 24/7 nonstop.  No holidays off if it's your hitch. In fact this will be the first time in 4 years or more that Ryan will be home for a holiday.

I've talked about how tough cowboys are, well try being a roughneck.  These guys are a special breed to be doing what they do.  Hats off to you boys and thank you for what you do.

So nice to see pics, but also a bit scary, he has a very dangerous job, just want him to be careful. Very proud of my grandson and Jack too, always keep them in my prayers! So glad you got to see this, am sure Ryan was glad for you to see it, this blog of yours is fantastic,
