We are having such a wonderfully warm February.  It has been so good for these little babies.

I had to take mineral to the heifers in the lane meadow today.  These are the moms and babies that we moved out of the original calving pasture when the calves were a few days old.  I checked to see if they were doing ok. It looked like they were having a great time in the sun and thriving.

The first time moms were doing a good job.
I moved on to the bulls.  Dave wanted me to check how they were doing too.

Most of them looked ok, but my report was they seemed hungry and could use a little more feed.

I took mineral to the mommies to be.  They seemed pretty happy about it.

Some of them were sun bathing and it looks like this one is telling me not to bother them.
Then I just took some random pictures.

There is a young bald eagle that sits in this tree. I wanted to get closed, but he took off.
A sheepherder was moving his sheep along the hill.  The Great Pyrenees take good care of their sheep.

Some of my chickens enjoying the sun.

This is my goat Lima Bean. She is a LaMancha, which is why she does not have ears. They are an earless breed.

It's been really warm, the grass is getting green and growing.  This seems really great, but we really need the moisture.

Looks like great February weather to be calving. Only problem I see is that there are no ear tags with a DH-1 or a GT-1 so you must not be taking pictures of your dads or my calves in your herd???? I mailed the check for the cow, it must have got lost in the mail.
