WATER HAULER IN TRAINING

Today Clay decided it was time to teach me how to drive the water truck and haul water.

First we had to fill the truck. This seemed to take forever.  While it filled we took the tubs up to the field that the cows were in.
We have several water trucks.  I was told some are even automatic.  Not the one I'm to drive.
First step, turn it on. (push the button?)  haha.  It was a little overwhelming when I looked at all the gauges.  But then I was relieved when Clay said, "just pay attention to the ones that work".  Oh my, what was I in for?

Then we were ready to roll.  Sounds easy.. Did I mention it is NOT an automatic?  9 gears? What I am going to do with so many gears?
I successfully got water to the cows and dumped it into the tubs.
Woofta, we made it back in one piece.  I might have even used most of the gears.

We haul water all winter long to the cows on the desert.  Here are some of the water trucks of the past.

Not sure if that is the water truck I rode in but I thought you looked very professional, seemed like you knew what you were doing, of course that is the way of woman, never let them know we don't really know what we are doing, always keep them guessing! Anyhow you did fantastic, great job and loved the pics.
